The Disability Pride Parade is a community-led event. This means the disability community is included in all elements of planning the Parade, including promotion. We encourage you to design flyers based on this years theme (Love Unites: We're All In This Together) and distribute them to your community.
Accessible Flyers
From our Parade route to promotional materials, accessibility is at the center of the Disability Pride Parade. We've provided some resources below to help you create flyers that we can easily distribute to all potential participants:
California State University Northridge: Accessible Infographics and Flyers Checklist
California Community Colleges: Flyer Accessibility
Wake Forest University: Making Your Flyers and Posters More Inclusive
Center for Plain Language: Five Steps to Plain Language
Color Contrast Checker
Color contrast is an integral element of visual accessibility. The WebAim Color Contrast Checker will evaluate the colors you use in the background and foreground of your flyer and determine if they meet accessibility standards.
