Partnerships Across Communities

Partnerships with other communities are invaluable to the Disability Pride Parade.

We are excited to invite other parades from across New York City to join us in the planning process and work alongside disabled people and the many communities to which we belong.

Ways to Partner

Parade partners can:

• Design and decorate Parade route blocks.

• Share insights and successful practices from their own parades.

• Help spread the word about the Disability Pride Parade.

• March or roll in the Parade.

What We Can Build Together

Whether you're an arts parade, cultural parade, protest, or another community celebration, working together can help us:

• Create a more welcoming, festive, and accessible Parade.

• Highlight and honor the many identities and communities within the disability community.

• Build connections and solidarity across communities.

• Bring creativity and visual energy to the Parade route.

• Expand outreach and participation.

Partnership Opportunities

Each partnership will be tailored to the participating parade. Opportunities and benefits may include:

• Marching or rolling in the Disability Pride Parade.

• Sharing and learning approaches to increasing accessibility in community spaces and events.

• Having your parade's logo included in promotional materials and at the Disability Pride Parade.

Disability pride is strengthened when disabled people and the many communities to which we belong come together, share our experiences, and learn from one another.
