The parade is on rain or shine. It will only be canceled if extreme weather, such as a hurricane, poses a threat to the safety of participants and organizers. Like all large-scale city events, the Office of Emergency Management will track weather conditions and safety concerns and coordinate with the New York City Police Department, Department of Transportation, and parade organizers.
