Tabling Information
There is limited space for 50 organizations, city agencies, and corporations to set up tables at the post-parade Block Party in Union Square Park. We will notify you by or before September 30th about your selection for a table. At that time, you will need to submit funds to our Zeffy, PayPal, or Venmo (Name: DisabilityPrideParadeNYC; Phone Number: 917-484-2245) accounts, or via another convenient method.
The Office of the New York City Comptroller is co-sponsoring the parade. A contribution to (or co-sponsorship of) the Disability Pride NYC Parade will not affect business dealings with the City or provide access to City Officials.
If the parade is cancelled due to hazardous weather, you will be refunded whatever costs Disability Pride NYC did not incur; this means that even though the parade is cancelled, you may not receive the whole or part of a refund.
Criteria for vendor selection includes mutual aid to the parade, and support and partnership to the disability community including in-kind services and a track record of providing citywide services for the disability community year-round and also "day of" at the post-parade Block Party. This year, we are particularly interested in hosting city agencies seeking to connect to disability communities for assistance in meeting the "Accessibility Five-Year Plan" they submitted to the NYC Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities and/or providing information about employment opportunities within their agency.
Non-Profits and City Agencies
The cost for non-profit (501c3) organizations and City agencies to table is $149, which is the actual cost for each booth (tent, one table, tablecloth and two chairs). Another option for non-profit (501c3) organizations and city agency participation is to bring your own table, chairs, and tent and tablecloth and there will be no charge. You must indicate which you will be doing in the application form.
Corporations
If a corporation selects any of the sponsorship packages, it will be guaranteed a booth at Union Square.
Note:
If you do not have the financial capacity or manpower to have your own table and would like to share literature/meet and greet community members at the Block Party, the "Project Access for All - Disability Unite" community consortium welcomes folks to join them at their table.
A map and a text map of Union Square Park detailing the location of each organization's booth will be located on this page of this website before the parade.
This year we are requesting that all organizations and city agencies tabling amplify the message of the parade by sharing to their email lists, newsletters and on their social media that they plan on participating and also post-parade to share their participation.
Booth contents must be brought in the morning of the parade before 10:30 AM. If you are bringing in materials via an automobile, please proceed to 17th Street from Park Avenue and you will be directed by parade staff where you can unload. Once you have unloaded, the vehicle must be removed from the area and you will need to find your own parking.
American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters will be available at Booth # 1 for any attendee who wishes to communicate using ASL.
