Marchers and Rollers
Thank you for marching or rolling in the 2025 Disability Pride Parade! We're excited to have you this year. To participate, we recommend following these steps:
Step 1: Register to march or roll in the Parade
If you're registering as a group, please participate in the 10th Anniversary Give or Get Challenge.
Step 2: Get your advocacy and spirit on
This year's theme is "Love Unites: We're All In This Together"
Create costumes for our costume contest
Choose the Disability Pride-themed items you'll bring with you (flags, signs, etc.)
Step 3: Inform members of your organization or other group of which you're a part about the Parade schedule and the 10th Anniversary 10 Blocks of Pride!
Step 4: Figure out transportation to and from the Parade
Accessibility Information
The parade route is fully accessible. Accessible portable toilets, accessible water, wheelchair charging stations, and service animal relief areas will be provided.
For speeches, Communication Access Real-time Transcription (CART), American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation, and audio-description will be provided.
To request additional accommodations, if you haven't filled out the Registration Form yet, please do so and indicate the accommodations you need. If you have already filled it out, we apologize, but ask that you complete it again. We are a very small team, and accessibility is important to us. The Registration Form is our central repository for all participant information.
- Unless you need to rest as an accommodation, please keep moving forward and do not stop for photos, conversation, or any other reason unless directed. The thousands of people behind you will need to stop as well.
- There will be several photographers/videographers from Disability Pride NYC, Project Access for All, Art Beyond Sight, the Mayor’s Office, and news outlets photographing the parade. By being present in the parade, you are granting your consent that photographs, video and/or voice recordings, and/or your biographical information can be used for print, television, radio, website and social media postings for the purposes of promoting Disability Pride NYC Parade, the City of New York, and Project Access for All, Art Beyond Sight and any other partner organization assisting the work of the Disability Pride NYC Parade.
- We want to share the 2025 Disability Pride NYC Parade with the world, and to do that, we need your help. On the day of the parade, please post any photos or videos of the parade with the hashtag #DisabilityPrideNYC.
